I just found out at my Dr appt of Emily’s death. I saw her right before she left Western medicine as she was following my diabetes care. She talked excitedly of her future. I was so sorry to hear of her passing.Your  family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. She was a very sweet and caring provider.

I am so, so lucky to have met you when I did. Being able to call you a friend is one of the greatest joys of my life, and I’m sure that everyone who had the good fortune to get to know you are saying the same. 

The world is worse off without you in it, but it’s also an infinitely better place for having had you live in it, even if for an unfairly brief while. Your humor, empathy, advice, friendship and infectious spirit has forever changed me. You’re the type of friend that makes me want to be the best version of myself- and for that I will always be grateful. 

You’re never really going to be gone. Not for me, not for your family,  not for anyone lucky enough to know you. You’re a tidal wave that has returned to the ocean, and everything you’ve touched has been irrevocably changed for the better. I love you forever.

Emily was such a good friend to me and my husband.   She always was ready to defend us or give advice when needed.  She was an extraordinary woman with the biggest heart ever.  I will never forget her.

Emily has always been special to us.  We will always remember her larger than life laugh and the time she spent the entire summer with us in Hilton Head swimming until the wee hours of the morning and being unapologetically kids.  Janie and I are in shock over this loss.  We have followed her life from the outside for so long and have been so proud of all of her accomplishments.  Emily was driven and knew to be proud of herself so that others would be too.  Janie and I were just last week talking about how they should reconnect when Janie and her husband move back to Cleveland.  We are so sad for the time we have loss with beautiful Emily.  Our thoughts and hearts are with you as you mourn the passing of a sweet girl way too soon.  Emily did everything right in her life to make an impact on the world and in the short years she was here, she did exactly that. Our hearts are with you.

Oh Em. 

Never did I think that September 23rd would be the last time I heard from you. I thought we would go through this rough patch, give some space, and then work through it. That you’d be back at my house hanging out with the kiddos and I again before we knew it. For the last year you were, in many ways, the sister I never had. My every day involved my daily tasks, Momming,  and text Em. How I wish so badly I could have told you just how much you meant to me one more time. Please listen for my whispers up in the stars and know that I loved you tremendously. 

To the family: I am so incredibly sorry for your unimaginable loss. May you always find comfort in your memories and keep her amazing spirit alive through stories shared from your heart.

I am so very sorry to learn of Emily's passing.  I remember her fondly as a student here at the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.  Her radiant smile was infectious.  Though I had not seen or interacted with her in the last couple of years, she will be missed by me and so many others.  I cannot imagine the loss you are feeling.  Your family has been added to my prayer list.

Emily and Family- I can't believe you are gone. Seems like yesterday I could hear your laugh through the halls of the office. I had the pleasure of training Emily in her residency at Western Medicine and passing the torch of the clinical pharmacist position to her afterward. Her bubbly personality made her able to easily connect with the patients. And her heart for the patients showed through her work, I still remember when we had a Russian couple come to the practice, they were so excited that someone in this small Ohio village could communicate with them in their language. Emily was beautiful inside and out. She had such a bold and vibrant personality. She brought so much joy and positivity to work each day! I will miss her so much! I loved bonding over crab Rangoons and French onion soup with her and sharing our recipes! Prayers and deepest condolences to her family I can’t begin to imagine how they feel when I am heart broken after having the privilege to know her for a short while. She was an amazing pharmacist, teammate and friend.

My deepest sympathies to Emily’s family. I had the pleasure of working with Emily for just a few short months. I feel we were beginning to form a friendship. I enjoyed listening to her share stories of her surprise bachelorette party. I had the chance to congratulate her for her beautiful wedding. We shared Happy Birthdays with one another, as we had birthdays the same week in October. In the time I knew her, Emily was always so helpful to me and other staff. She volunteered to speak to patients when they had questions involving medications. She called doctors when orders needed clarification. She was smart, confident, and didn’t let anyone intimidate her. She will be greatly missed.

Emily is the only pharmacist I ever worked with that would refuse to approve a physicians orders because she disagreed with the management. She had no hesitation to push her scope of practice well beyond that of the average pharmacist on behalf of patients. I found her so refreshing to work with. She was smart, opinionated, outspoken, and strong. We would frequently nerd out together over medical ideas and I will miss working with her.

You are gone way too soon. Even though we didn't stay in touch after highschool, I enjoyed watching you grow into a beautiful wonderful young woman. I cherish all of the childhood memories we share between our secret club that we had made up at summer camp and all of the sleepovers. Emily was one of a kind and always made everyone feel included.
My favorite memory of Emily is when she had a new years eve party at her house and we all were having so much fun together playing videogames and laughing that we all missed the ball drop at midnight. Emily is and will always be a bright shinning star. 
My condolences to all of her friends and family. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her loved ones.

This has been hard to write for me. Emily became one of my first childhood best friends. We used to have sleepovers where we would stay up all night laughing, dancing, playing with dolls and all types of video games. Although we didn’t stay close, I loved seeing her progress in life and continue to be bright and a light in the world. Emily’s light definitely be missed. Her memory will forever be a blessing. I pray for Kyle, Alla, Ilya, and Yana and hope you find peace. She is always with you. ❤️

I had the honor of being Emily’s nurse at Western Medicine.  We became very close immediately.  Emily loved her family, and loved Kyle fiercely.  I am shocked and heartbroken to learn of her passing.  
My prayers are with you Kyle and Mr. And Mrs. Lein.  I will never forget Emily, or the difference she made in so many lives.

I first met Emily in undergrad as we both pursued degrees in pharmaceutical science. We became fast friends — something that was easy to do with her. Although we lost touch over the last few years, I will forever cherish the memories from the time that we were close. This world will miss her caring nature, bright smile and energetic spirit. I can’t believe I am writing this. It felt like just yesterday we were sending each other pandemic jokes. As I say this final goodbye, I want you to know that your memory will forever live on in my heart. You were such a funny and kind soul, but also an intelligent hard worker in your studies and career. Your kindness, laughter, and friendship brought light to my life, and I will cherish those moments always. I’ll never forget all of the silly yearbook messages we wrote each other, playing video games together, chasing your kitty Bubbles around your Solon house, or staying up late to send each other one more text message. Emily was my coworker at Nationwide Childrens hospital. She was two years older than me and I remember when I started working I thought she was so hardworking. She took me under her wing and we became quick friends. Emily has always been there for me during school and even now as I navigate finding a new job. We would go months without talking but if I needed to talk she would drop everything to be there for me. A few weeks ago I was going through a challenging time and reached out to her. She called me right away and gave me advice. Not only that but she has continuously checked in on me the last several weeks. Emily was an amazing person and I am so lucky to have had a friend like her in my life. I will remember her for her positivity and kindness she displayed to her coworkers, friends, and patients. As I transition into my new job as a pharmacist I will be doing so in honor of Emily and the passion she put into her work helping others.

Huge prayers being sent to all family and friends! I had the pleasure of working with her , her bubbly self made it so easy to get along with and talk to!

Although Emily and I we weren't close, I remember her from our days in pharmacy school as someone who was always smiling, had a positive attitude, and was willing to help others. Her presence will be greatly missed. Condolences to Emily’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Emily was an amazing person. She was super sweet and helpful to me and the nurses at work. She was so positive and she would always put a smile on my face during a bad shift. She wasn’t just my colleague but she was also a good friend. She told me that once I get into nursing that she would help me study for pharmacy. She will be missed and I’m so sorry for you loss.
