Thank you for your lovely, heartfelt tribute. When we were searching for words to describe Mom's career, it was your words we were looking for. It is a comfort to know that she had such a lasting impression on her peers.

I had the privilege of working with Ms. Portnoy as a nurse at Montefiore many years ago. I felt she really represented the grand "old guard" of nursing in the best possible way. She was a staunch advocate of providing the best care possible. She was a lovely lady and I enjoyed our many chats. My deepest sympathies.
