Faye D. Kaplan

Faye D. Kaplan (nee Mendes) 97 1/2 beloved wife of the late Samuel Appleton and the late David Kaplan. Loving mother of Sherri (Marty Resnik) Appleton, Garry (Stephanie Longley) Appleton, Paul Appleton (Cheri Mancini) and step mother of Donna (Michael) Murphy. Proud grandmother of Sam Resnik, Lydia Resnik, Christopher (Alyson) Appleton, Kathleen (Patrick Kane) Appleton, Caroline (George) Barrie, Kelley ( Wesslen Cantwell) Appleton, Casey Appleton and Brian Anyzeski. Devoted Great grandmother of Hattie, Henry, Arlo, Frankie, Freya, Luka, Emily, Drew, Wayde and Brianna. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mollie Mendes, dear twin sister of Morton (Patti) Mendes and the late Harold (Barbara) Mendes.

Faye was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and attended Flora Stone Mather College. She was kind, thoughtful, generous, spirited and extremely active well into her 90s. She was a life long member of Fairmount temple and was passionate about supporting organizations focused on children and families, hunger, Jewish values and the arts. Volunteering at Jewish Day Nursery was an Integral part of her life for over 40 years.

Services will be held Friday, June 9 at 11 AM at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S. Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Mayfield Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the Residence, 7 Deerfield Ln. Beachwood, OH (The Village). FRIDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES AND INTERMENT UNTIL 7PM.
