Frances Gordon Fine

FRANCES A FINE (nee Gordon), a native Cleve­lander and longtime Denver resident passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016. She was 91. She was born in Cleveland and graduated from Glenville High. She received degrees from Western Reserve University (BA Psychology) and Kent State University (BS Education). She taught in the Cleveland Heights - University Heights school district, the Cleveland Hebrew Schools, Park Synagogue and the JCC. In Cleveland, she was a member of Pioneer Women, Alumni Associations, the Council of Jewish Woman and the Oer Chodosh Synagogue. In Denver she belonged to the BMH Synagogue. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Dr. Isaac Fine. She is survived by three children: Evelyn Fine of Washington D.C., Alan Fine (Sally Lewis) of Denver and Sharon Fine-Schwartz (Joseph Schwartz) of Potomac, MD; beloved grandmother of four granddaughters: Sydney de Lapeyrouse Kagan, Meredith Swartz Dante, Rachel Ginsburg Swartz and Abigail Fine. Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS. on Wednesday, October 26 at 11 AM. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery.
