Frances Kleinman

Beloved wife of the late Bennet Kleinman; devoted mother of Judy (Denny) Hershey and the late Lee (Caren) Kleinman; loving grandmother of Aaron (Darcy) Hershey, Noah (Jen ) Hershey, Julie (Jeremy) Fetterman, Brian (Katie) Kleinman, Karen (Andrew) Porter, Jeffrey Kleinman and Abbey (Kaleb) Larimore; loving great-grandmother of Dylan, Caleb, Myla, Bennett, Greyson, Leo, Daniel, Ella, Eli, Naomi and Aiden; dear sister of Laya (Joe) Marron (both deceased); dearly loved aunt and cherished friend.

For 54 years, Frances was married to Bennet Kleinman, noted attorney, raconteur and ardent spokesman for the State of Israel. She joined him in word and deed in his commitment.

For over 30 years, Frances worked tirelessly for the State of Israel’s safety. Her greatest achievement was the series of Israel tours she organized and conducted over the years. The best known were the three Kleinman Karavan tours, a private group of friends that toured together and never lost the excitement of their experience.

Frances began studying Hebrew in her mid-forties culminating in a double Bat Mitzvah with her friend Ronnie Milter in Tel Aviv during one of the Kleinman Karavan tours.

Bennet and Frances owned an apartment in Tel Aviv for over 20 years and spent two months every year visiting the many wonderful friends they made there.

Frances volunteered for Jewish National Fund for 30 years and was president of the women’s division for five of those years.

Frances had a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS. on Sunday, December 2 at 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

The family will receive friends SUNDAY FOLLOWING BURIAL UNTIL 4:30 PM at Executive caterers, 6111 Landerhaven Dr., Mayfield Hts., OH.
