Freddy was a special person in my family’s life. He was always there to love and support my late husband Bruce Davis “the Bear” and our children.  Any time we had been together was lots of fun and laughter. He had a way to make any situation into a positive in life.

What a incredible soul you were Fred. I can still remember the  #380 
opening as if it was yesterday what an experience!

Many a story can be told about the fun times we spent together! His love was always present!  We enjoyed some of the best years being neighbors here in Kirkland, I miss those parties! I will miss him dearly. Lots of love to his family, I am grateful he has a place in my heart!

I have been gone from Cleveland since 1976 and have not kept in touch with many people.  I just found out that both Richie and Freddie are now gone. Richie was my great early childhood friend and Freddie always treated me so well.  I will miss them both.

I knew Freddie for many years growing up on Coventry. He was my brothers best friend.
He was at our house as he was always over chuming  with Bruce. I miss the days growing up on Coventry. Rest In Peace my friend. 

I had the honor and privilege of having my childhood filled with all the love from Uncle Freddy. He was one of my dad’s best friends and played the role of uncle for much of my life. He was one of the most thoughtful and caring humans that taught me to love unconditionally and love life to the utmost. I am extremely thankful for our time together. RIP Uncle Freddy. Your love and laughter are missed.

I had the opportunity to work for Fred at the Mayfield Costco in 2006/2007. He taught me all that I know when it comes to marketing. I used that knowledge and began to be the go to person for new stores. He was great with people I will never forget. He was always there for me! I will never forget you! Give back to the community he would alway say! Love you Fred!

I have great memories working with friend in Chicago. Such a fun guy to be around. We also worked together years ago in San Diego at Price Club and we would often have conversations about those times. Fred was just a really nice man who made so many positive impacts with people both at work and otherwise. He will be missed by many.

I opened #380 with Fred and worked with him for 6 years as the Morning Vault Clerk.  He was the best manager to work for.   I will miss our conversations while he verified deposits. 
He was always there for anyone and everyone, was inspiring to all, and believed in people.  His faith in others drove us all to be the best we could for him.  I was so sad to hear of his passing.   Costco, and the world, has lost one of the greats.  May you rest in peace.

Fred was my warehouse manager at 380 in Lincoln park in 2001 and I considered him more than  my warehouse manager I considered him my friend he was always there for me and for anyone needing help the world lost a good soul.

Thank you Fred for being the best warehouse manager I had.Not only fred took care of his employees he took care of his members. Thank you for giving me  the fulltime position the first year I started 2002 because you believed in me and happy to say I made you proud. My condolences and Love to his family 🙏

Remember Fred at Costco 380, he hired me in 2001, and gave me a chance to step out of my comfort zone by working different departments. He always had time to talk to you and encourage you, and you felt he listened and understood what ever problems you might have had. Will be truly missed.  Thought and prayers to the family. Thank you for taking a chance on me almost 20 years ago and giving me my first supervisory job at Costco 380. Thank you for allowing me to hone the technology, IT, and member service skills in Major Sales that I still use today. Thank you for encouraging me to be one of your area managers and teaching me what it means to be a good manager. And thank you for the job offer you made me when I visited you in Ohio. You will be missed.

Fred will be missed by all who knew him. Fred was always positive, and out going. His passion for Costco and mentoring his employees to be better than they thought they could be was evident throughout. He touched many lives. He helped many people.  I will forever be grateful to have known Fred. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Fred’s family and friends. 

I was truly saddened to learn of Fred's passing. I knew him well for many years growing up through Heights. After that we did loose touch however, he left only fond memories and know he was a good person and will rest in peace. Very Sad....


I met Fred in Athens Ohio during my college years. He had a wonderful smile and a gift of gab. He always enjoyed a good conversation especially when the topic was about one of his beloved Cleveland teams.  I am saddened to learn of his passing.


I have had many memorable memories with Freddy, Terri, Steve, Emily, Alex and Lisa... We shared holidays together and dishes!  Freddy was a sweetheart and will definitely be missed.  I am sure he was welcomed with open arms in Heaven.  RIP Freddy.

I'm really sorry to hear about Fred. He was one of my first friends in my life. We grew up one street apart and were in the same classroom all the way through Coventry School, from kindergarten on. Starting in about the second grade, we walked to school together every day. And that continued into junior high. When Fred came back to Cleveland to manage the Costco store, I saw him frequently there, and he would also come to hear my band play. He was always a nice guy, with a great sense of humor.

Nice words about Freddy, Cheryl.  He always projected a positive energy. His smile was indeed a genuine one, and he was as sincere a person as you could find.

My memories of Freddy are many.  I was married to him when we were in our early twenties. Although our marriage was short lived, I can say he was very kind, sweet, and always had a smile on his face.  Fred had great taste, impeccable style, and was a loving friend to all who knew him.  I'm sure he will be missed by all who were close to him.  May he rest in peace.
