Gerald Dombcik

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dombcik (nee Mart); his children Shari Dombcik, Amy Small (Steve), Jeffrey Dombcik (Jeanne); and brother Ronnie Dombcik (deceased) and sister-in-law Vera Dombcik.

He was the adored grandfather of Alex Small (Jill), Melanie Ashed (Marc), Elliott Small (Elisabeth), Zachary Rothstein (Sam), Alyssa Gitterman (Alex), Max Rothstein (Olivia), Bennett Dombcik and Addison Dombcik and great grandchildren Aiden and Colett Small, Ezra and Shai Ashed, Alice Rothstein, and Noa and Sylvie Giterman.

His lengthy career as an accomplished financial analyst spanned over 40 years and he was married to his life partner Ruth for 66 years. Jerry most enjoyed time with his family and closest friends, playing golf, reading, and staying physically active. He was also very involved in volunteering with various civic organizations as a volunteer, officer and board member. Organizations he cared most deeply about include Rescue Village, Magnolia House, Beachwood Boosters and Beachwood Library, Cleveland Food Bank. His biggest joy was playing with his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren and dog sitting his grand dogs. He will be missed deeply by all who were honored to know him.

Jerry’s services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel 1985 South Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118. Interment Mt. Family will receive friends at the Village Clubhouse, 26000 Village Place, Beachwood (entrance off George Zeiger Dr.) FRIDAY 2-6 p.m. and SUNDAY 1-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to the Cleveland Food Bank or Rescue Village.
