Dear Shirley,  I was very saddened to learn of Hank's passing. I knew Hank for 50 years, first as a teacher and mentor and later as a close friend. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and a true stand-up person. Looking back on those early days at Cleveland State, I was very blessed to have Hank as a professor and role model. Hank was a wonderful father and scholar, and a delightful man. My heartfelt condolences to Jeanne, Shirley, Debbie and Terry, as well as Sara and spouses.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad! I think the last time I talked to him was when I was at your house in Boston so long ago, on the phone.
