Dear Nancy,

Our family and community of Cleveland School of the Arts (CSA) is saddened to learn of the passing of such an insightful, generous and kind man.

Due to the generosity of the wonderful Harry K. and Emma R. Fox Charitable Foundation, the artistic scholars of CSA have had the opportunity to engage in instrumental and vocal music experiences beyond their wildest imaginations! The extensive opportunities awarded to them because of Mr. Friedman's giving heart, will follow them always! They have been instructed by professional mentors, achieved scholarships and received private lessons by some of the best in the arts!

Thank you for sharing him with us! May 
he be at peace throughout all eternity!

I am stunned and saddened to learn that Harold has died. what a personal loss for his family but also for those of us he befriended. The larger community will miss him as well as they also honor him for his many years of generous and dedicated leadership in community organizations - the Jewish Vocational Services and the Jewish Welfare Federation are only two examples. He will be truly missed - he definitely left this planet too soon! My deepest sympathies to you, Nancy and to Susie, Jay and Debbie and his grandchildren.

I worked with Mr. Friedman, from 1992 to 2014. He was top of the line as an attorney at Ulmer & Berne. I enjoyed working with him.  To the family I extend my condolences. Vivian Freeman.
