LEBBY Harriet Lebby (nee Siegel) just shy of 94, Harriet passed away peacefully after a hip fracture. She outlived her husband, Leonard Lebby and her two children, Steve Lebby and Maxine Peffer as well as her partner Edward Bloomberg. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Ellyn Lebby and her grandchildren Laurel Judd and Jonathan Lebby along with her great-grandchildren Jacob and William Lebby. Born in Cleveland, OH, Harriet and Leonard lived there for many years until they retired to Admirals Cove in Jupiter, Fl. She was a student at the Cleveland Playhouse where she was later on the board of Trustees. President of the Women's Committee and Entertainment Chair. She was a professional vocalist, composer and pianist in her early days. Her claim to fame was that some of her music was played on the Larry King show. She appeared on radio and T.V. in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and St. Louis and performed for the "Entertain Mobile" for the American Red Cross. She was a member of Oakwood Country Club and served on the board. After losing her adult children and husband, Harriet could have lived a life of sadness, but instead she stayed close to her remaining family and friends. It is said that the most interesting people are those who are interested, and that would perfectly describe Harriet. She had a marvelous senseofhumor and style. In her passing she wanted friends and family to have champagne and remember her. Private graveside services were held at the Mayfield Cemetery.
