Helen Rothman, 91, of South Euclid, Ohio, passed peacefully away from this life after a decline in health on November 30, 2022 in Mentor, Ohio.
Helen was born on April 14, 1931 to Joseph and Barbara Waldeck in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Raised in Romania, Helen started her family in Austria before moving back to the states as a young adult.
Helen enjoyed sewing, baking and spending time with family and friends. A very important part of Helen’s life was her faith, and she spent a lot of time practicing her orthodox beliefs.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Ingrid (Kurt) Tenerove, Stepchildren, Randee Jacobson and Marty Rothman, and daughter-in-law Joan Leeb. Grandchildren, Erika Mahoney (Thai Vo), Sonja (Joseph) Dube, Rebecca Anastasiadis, Michael (Sami) Jacobson, Amanda Jacobson, and Carly Rothman. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Emilia Dube, and William, Elizabeth, Christopher, Michael, and Joshua Anastasiadis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Barbara Waldeck, husband, Fred Rothman, son, John Schuster and siblings, Magdalene Kleemann, Joseph Waldeck and Mary Waldeck. Helen was a beloved aunt and friend of many.
Graveside service will be held at Mount Sinai Cemetery, 6576 White Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio, on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00am with Rabbi Raphael Davidovich of Heights Jewish Center Synagogue officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
Berkowitz – Kumin – Bookatz Memorial Chapel will be handling the funeral arrangements.
