My deepest condolences on the passing of your father Henrik.  My late husband Ben Luffman z”l was your mother’s first cousin. Your parents visited Winnipeg many years ago. We had dinner together and were joined by Ben’s late sister Molly and her husband Hymie Leszcz.   We had a lovely time as it was the first ever meeting of the “first” cousins . My husband’s mother Sara and your grandmother Rose were sisters.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father, Henry Sperling. No matter what age, it is never easy to say goodbye to those we love. Henry was a delightful person, full of generosity and a big heart. I can still hear him making jokes and teasing with George as they painted our home so we could move in with our new baby. A job he did, by the way, at a discounted rate for the benefit of a couple starting out with a new family just because he could.  I would sit and listen to him and George making fun of each other for my own amusement and always smiled.  I will always think of your father in this way- full of love, kindness and generous to a fault.
