Hilda Tetelman Epstein

Hilda was born in Cleveland and lived much of her life there, then moving to Florida in 1979. She returned to Cleveland to be near her family in 2012.

She married Myron Tetelman in 1952 until his untimely passing in 1980. She met and married Dr. Bernard (Dr. Bernie) Epstein in 1981 and moved back with him to Cleveland in 2012. Bernie passed away in 2016 but by then Hilda was in Cleveland with her family around her.

Hilda was an exceptional organizer and businesswoman. She ran real estate and medical offices during her career. In the 1960's she received several awards from the American Heart Association serving on the board of directors.

She was a member of Temple on the Heights (Congregation B'nai Jeshurun) Congregation Beth Aynu and Tifereth Israel-The Temple.

Beloved wife of the late Dr. Bernard Epstein and Myron Tetelman (deceased); devoted mother of Dr. Evan (Terry) Tetelman of Beachwood, OH, Barry Tetelman of Chagrin Falls, OH and Mitchell Tetelman (deceased); loving grandmother of Aaron (Jessie) Tetelman, Michael Tetelman, Jeremy Tetelman, Joseph Tetelman, Daniel (Amelia) Tetelman and Michelle Johnson; cherished great-grandmother of seven; dear sister of Hyman Swirsky of Beachwood, OH and Teddy Swirsky (deceased); dearly loved aunt of Bonnie and Michael Swirsky.

Graveside funeral services were held at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Rd, Solon, OH 44139 on September 3, 2024.

The family will receive friends following interment until 9 PM at the residence of Dr. Evan and Terry Tetelman, 2424 Allen Blvd, Beachwood, OH 44122.

In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or to Miracle City Hospice.
