From Florida I am thinking about Hope and how grateful I am to have known her.  Her warmth, intelligence, passion, and easy laugh will remain as a cherished gift and ongoing inspiration.   
And in every tree I see, every branch that blooms,  I will think about Hope, and her beloved Stanley.

Will remember Hope and Stanley forever as their memory on Belcourt  Road and Kersdale live on forever! my parents cherished their friendship with them both and it passed down to all the
 Michael family! They counted all of Mary and Mikes children as  their own and made us feel that way! happy you are both together once again walking the streets in heaven!  You are missed and truly touched so many lives!!!Love ,Maura Michael Shibley

We celebrate the life of a special lady, nurse, kind giver and environmentalist with dear husband , Stanley.

  Roger and I enjoyed knowing the special couple and seeing them at the Cleveland Orchester. My parents, Robert and Lorraine Warren shared good times as well. Blessings and prayers to the family. We will miss them.

From Florida thinking of Hope and feeling blessed to have known her and dear Stanley, treasured friends we will miss more than words can say.  They brought much happiness to so many, surely their souls will be in a special place in heaven.  

We will remember them always.

Hope was simply one of the most beautiful people i have ever known.

Hope was a dear cousin to my mom, Edith Karr. She was  there for us as we arrived in Cleveland in 1957 as Hungarian refugees. She helped us settle into a new country. A new city. And a new way of life. Over the next 50+ years Hope was part of our lives in many different ways. Visits and chats with mom. Her first trip to Florida for my daughters wedding. And so much more. She will be remembered by our family always.

I was honored to be Hope Adelstein caregiver all the way to her passing,  I called her my sunshine.  Shevwoukd chuckle and ask why you call me sunshine.  My response was you bring full of sunshine and a ray of hope.  She would chuckle.  That point on that was her name when I was there.  I called her sunshine and everything will OK all the way to her passing.  I will miss Hope Adelstein (Sunshine)

I simply adored Hope. On a Jewish Family Mission to Israel 40 years,ago our family had the honor of sharing our time and memories with Hope and Stanley. Together again.. RIP dear Hope.

We are so sad to learn of the loss of beautiful Hope. We met her and Stanley in Florida, when our daughter was 6. They fell in love with her and became pen pals with her, writing and sending books! She sang for them, in person in Florida and on the phone, and they loved that she was studying music. We all met for a lovely brunch together just 2 years ago, at the same hotel where we first met a couple of years before then. After Stanley passed, we spoke with Hope and our daughter sang for her, which Hope said soothed her tremendously. Hope reminded me of my own mother, whom I had lost a few years before meeting the Adelsteins. Hope was full of gentle grace, wit and charm.  We will always cherish our time spent with her in Delray Beach, it was an honor to have known her.

We got to know Hope and Stanley in Florida and will always treasure their memory. What exceptional, wonderful people.

What an incredible experience it was to know Hope for many decades. Her
insights, depth of knowledge, leadership and accomplishments inspired all
who were fortunate to be her friends. She and Stan will live on in their
environmental heritage to this community for our lifetime.
