James and Gail spent much of their lives together being good friends with a common interest. Both were tournament bridge players which is how they met. Gail came to like his quirky sense of humor and how he was a friend to everyone he met. It led to a decades long marriage.
Jim was a ham, he loved to hear and tell jokes and funny stories, entertaining those around him.
More importantly, he was a devoted father and step-father supporting his wife and children in anything they tried to do.
Jim was bright and loved to entertain Gail by answering the questions on Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune before anyone else could figure the correct response.
His passing will long be felt by his family and his many friends.
Jim was the beloved husband of Gail Buffington (nee Yaspan); devoted father of Alexander Buffington, Edwin Buffington of Tampa, FL, and loving step-father of the late Andrea Joelson and Diane Joelson (deceased); cherished friend of Bernie Joelson and Alexander's caregiver, Quincy
