Janie and I were actresses together in NY and in LA when we were starting out. I lost track of her after a while but I still have her photo (which I wanted to post but am unable to find right now) and I have never forgotten her. I would search for her now and again but this is the first time anything has shown up. And I - FYI - also found her on IMDB and Wikipedia. I was very fond of Janie. I am happy to see that she landed some nice roles, she was even in some of the same shows I was in, although not at the same time. I want.everyone to know that Hollywood is not a piece of cake, it is highly competitive and very difficult to break in. It is a tribute to Janies talent and tenacity and beauty that she had success. I’m very sad to see now that she is no longer with us. But I am glad to see that she apparently moved back home. My heart goes out to all of you who loved her so much, especially to her son. Jane, known to me as Janie, was a true and generous friend, a person of tremendous heart and soul. She was by my side when I was caring for my parents, and provided me with sincere and loving support. She was also generous to a fault. I cannot sing enough praises of her. I have a hole in my heart, I miss her tremendously.  May she Rest In Peace eternally.

Having been out of contact with Janie since her New York days, I often check Facebook and other online sources to try to locate her. Much to my surprise and sadness, I have found her obituary. I am sending prayers of love and light always.

My thoughts are with you, Dylan. We have not met, but I've followed you since birth. I first met your mom in California ... when we (Joel, Elliott, and I) moved there from Florida. After we moved back to Florida, I kept up with you through cousin Fritzi and other Lodish cousins. May her memory be a blessing for you.

I recently learned with sadness of Janie's passing.She holds a special place in my heart and memory.Charismatic and beautiful she endeared the hearts of many. Bright and talented she had a special spark as her aunt Ann Katz once said about her. A devoted mother she was so proud of her
multitalented son Dylan. Once when I visited with Janie she recited fr heart something very bright Dylan had written. She was also devoted to her pets Ruby & Galaxy.Rest in peace Janie. My thoughts are with you Dylan.  I am so very sorry for your loss.  I met your mother when I was 5 years old and my family moved to Beachwood.  We lived across the street from each other.  My whole family knew her and loved her.  I regret that we did not stay in contact in the last couple years. Your mom was a very special person. Cousin Dylan, my thoughts are with you. My father and mother, Henry and Mildred, always tried to be a caring uncle and aunt during your growing up years in Cleveland.  My parents were very fond of Janie.  They tried to give her guidance and comfort.  Emily Dickinson embraced the idea that "This world is not conclusion, a sequel stands beyond.  Invisible, as music, but positive, as sound."

When I was growing up my sister brought enormous joy and laughter into my life.  At that time she taught me how to care and love.  She taught me how to have fun.  It is an eternal heartbreak for me that that relationship ended too soon.  Blessings Janie.
