I loved when JoAnn would come in as a volunteer at the Solon Senior Center and inform us that she was coming to get her lunch. she was lots  of fun and laughter, nothing was going to take place until she came in and ate  her lunch first .  She will be missed. 

I'm so very sorry to hear this.  I almost literally ran into JoAnn in early 2020. I'm very grateful to have seen her and had a quick visit then.  May her memory be a blessing. We had some good times working together at Menorah Park.  Beth

I met Joann through our Temple Womens Association at The Temple Tifereth Israel.  I was drawn to her from the start!  She was so fun to be with.  She was always on top of it all, such a help in so many ways.  Loved her wit!  She was so real, so easy to talk and laugh with.  We would work in the gift shop together, so had time to chat and get to know each other.  I will truly miss her.  I am better to have known Joann.  Go find the fun group in heaven Joann, they are waiting as is God with open arms.  Prayers of comfort for all her family, how very blessed you have been with this Mom.

Joann was our neighbor. She was a wonderful neighbor always looking out for us. She always took an interest in our family asking how our children and grandchildren were by their names. She helped out if we went out of town, watering our plants, feeding our fish , bringing in the mail,  etc. She was very kind and thoughtful. We could always count on her. She helped me so much when my Mother was in a nursing home and I had foot surgery. She drove me all winter long to the nursing home so I could see my  Mother while my husband was working. She loved animals and treated my pets like they were hers. She had a sense  of humor and I loved how she dressed. She was very artsy  and dressed that way. We will miss her terribly. I met Joann when we worked together at Jewish Vocational Services in the 90's as part of the JOG (Jobs for Ohio's Graduates) program. She had a cutting wit that I learned to appreciate. She was a true professional who loved the youth we worked with like her own. 

So sad. Jo and Irv go back to when we where 18. Just missing a huge part of my life. Both as good as friends as any one could ask for. Don Zinner

I met Joann when we worked together at Jewish Vocational Services.  We were both part of the JOG (Jobs for Ohio's Graduates) program.  We shared many laughs, as Joann was witty and insightful.  She was  a kind soul, and I know she will be missed by many.


I have such fond and fun memories of Joann.  I cared for her when she would come to her nurse's visits at Solon.  We would catch up on what was happening in each other's lives and exchange updates on the children.  She and I would talk about shopping at the arts and crafts fairs and QVC during her visits.    We both loved boho style clothing and jewelry and she loved to come and show me her latest find. Her children, grandchildren, and daughter-in-law were a great source of pride.   I feel so blessed to have known Joann.   Heaven got another angel yesterday.

I am so sorry for your loss . Joann was a wonderful woman. I met Joann 40+ years ago when we were active an ORT. And then we reconnected at The Temple-Tifereth Israel eight years ago. We used to go to the theater together, dinner, lunch, we served on the TWA board together. She had the greatest sense of humor. Always a quick come back. She was a wonderful and caring friend. She loved her family. She was an inspiration with the way she handled her medical issues over the last few years. She  always had a smile and never complained. My deepest condolences to you all. May her memory always be for a blessing
