Your mother was a loving, wonderful person. I just heard of her passing, and was greatly saddened. I used to come and clean and take care of Bubby. Joanne was just so wonderful and kind to me. I will have hold a place for her in my heart. She was so generous to everyone.

How sad I was to learn of Joanne's passing.  I am blessed to have so many fond memories of Joanne to hold on to.  Joanne was an animals best friend taking an active role in animal rescue via assisting humane officer and long time friend, the late Betty Nenadal, with animal abuse cases, seizures, investigation and prosecution.  She was a foster home mom to many rescued animals and took many of these into her home and gave them a loving, forever home where they would come to know a "gentle hand". She was loved and respected by many and wasn't afraid to have a voice for the animals.  She was like a mom to me and a true friend.  I am a better person for knowing Joanne.  The world is a better place because she was in it.  I miss you my friend.  Love,Kathy Deptola

Your Mom was a fine lady who did so much good for animals and people during her time on Earth. She was never too busy to stop and help anyone in need.  I learned much from her during our time in Animal Welfare Foundation.  I will miss her always.

It was a sad moment to read Joanne's name today. I will always remember spending time with your family. She was way more than my boss she was a dear friend. We had lost touch but when ever I go through Chesterland I think of you all:) May your sadness be healed swiftly, know she loved you all so very much.

I will never forget the deep love that Joanne had for animals, this is how I met her many years ago. Many of these animals lives were made better because of this wonderful lady and her unselfishness.  Many late night  rescues and a heart full of love for all creatures. I will never forget you Joanne, you are always in my heart. .

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Dear Dan, Lisa, Phil, and Jillian - We are all so sorry to hear about the loss of Joanne.  She was a classy lady with so much sparkle!  She loved her animals dearly, and took in so many unwanted animals and gave them all unconditional love.  She will be missed by many!  We were so blessed to have known her.
