Judy, a lifelong Cleveland resident, was born February 3rd, 1942 to her late parents, Samuel and Lillian Katz.
Judy was the beloved wife of Jerry Gillett, who she met while they were both attending The Ohio State University. They married in 1962. Judy was the devoted mother of Gregg (Shari) Gillett, Lisa (Steven) Millman. Dear sister to Marilyn (Harvey-deceased) Herman and adored “Grammy” of Taylor (Zachary) Silverman, Noah Millman, Ethan Millman, and Addison Gillett.
Judy encapsulated what it means to love deeply, selflessly and unconditionally, a perpetually warm and endearing presence in the lives of those around her. She will be remembered by her family and loved ones for her lively spirit, infectious smile and laugh, and her sharp and witty sense of humor. She found enjoyment in even the simple things like her love of games, such as Canasta and Words with Friends, and her guilty pleasure of purchasing novelty items on QVC, some of which we know she certainly didn't need. But she was happiest when she was with her family.
