

Kathleen Cohn (née Brannock), wife of Ray Barton, loving mother of Aaron (Karen) Cohn, Molly Cohn, and the late Elliott Cohn, and cherished grandmother of Elliott Cohn, Samuel Cohn, and Oliver Cohn, passed away in Rockport, Texas, where she had been living.
Kathleen was born in Paris, Kentucky, on March 14, 1953. She was a proud mother who went far beyond the normal call of duty to give her children every opportunity to succeed. She possessed an authentic soul and a generous spirit, and she was a fierce advocate for those in need.
Kathleen graduated from Bourbon County High School and moved to Cleveland in 1981. During her years in Cleveland, she served as executive director of the Hebrew Free Loan Association and as an administrator at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. She later returned to Texas. Kathleen was also a proud member of Temple Emanu El.
She was the dear sister of the late Deborah Pate, Michael Brannock, and Sally Wilder.
Kathleen will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her compassion for others, and the strength and authenticity with which she lived her life.
Services will be held Monday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
