Lea P. Bank

BANK LEA P. BANK age 84, of Chagrin Falls. Adored wife of Malvin E. Bank for 64 loving and happy years. Sister to David Plessett and Ruth Schwartz (deceased). Devoted mother of four boys: Randy of Columbus, Jonathan of New York, Douglas of Riverwoods, IL and Steven of Los Angeles. Mother-in-law to Ruth, Katie, Susan and Julie. Loved and appreciated for her sweetness and her baking by nine grandchildren: Julia, Michele, Reuben, Asher, Justin, Hannah, Simon, Theo and Delilah. Lea's devotion to her family was paramount, but she was also a committed adult scholar. Her love of books and of reading lead her to fulfilling work at the West Geauga Library. Lea become a B'nai Mitzvah at the age of 74 where she found great fulfillment in the study of Torah. In 2007 Lea and Mal established the Jewish Studies Program at Penn State University, where they met in 1950. Lea was a remarkable and very special woman, completely unselfish. Her bright smile will be missed by all, but most of all by her husband and best friend. Services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 South Taylor Rd., Cleveland Hts. Interment Orange Hill Cemetery (corner of Rt.91 and Fairmount Blvd.). The family will receive friends following interment at South Franklin Circle, 16575 South Franklin Street, (Social Room) Chagrin Falls, to 3:00 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggest to The West Geauga Public Library.
