We loved our Monday evenings with you and Lee.I’m so glad that in these past six months we were able to share a cocktail and conversations. Lee was 1 in a million, he  always took time out of his busy schedule to talk to you. He was more than a boss of 25 years he was my brother I never had, he got me through the most difficult times in my life, his advice and motivation,  words don't do justice. God needed him in heaven to be an angel now!!
Merle and Grant, he is always with you, his spirit lives on forever and you will see him again. You are family to me and I'm always here for you anytime,  any day !! Dear Lord Grant Lee eternal peace, AMEN !!!

A friend once talked about people being an old soul. I am not exactly sure what she meant,  but I believe she must have been talking about Lee.   Bruce kept telling me how wonderful all of you were, and when I finally met each of you I knew I was experiencing family love that  I had never known before.  We feel so honored to be a part of your family. 

Grant, Lee glowed every time he talked about you and your accomplishments.  His love for you and Merle was steadfast and solid as a rock.  Each time we talked he had a new story to share on both of you. 

We have loved  your family photo cards each year, and I have saved all of them.  Today it was comforting to look at them again and feel closer to y’all.  Wish we were there to somehow help make things better.  We love each of you and will always cherish the memories!

My Brother, my Friend. I have lost both.
I have just replayed some old voicemails so that I could hear his always cheerful voice say “HiMarky, it’s Lee”.  I cannot recall anything but his cheerful greeting no matter what he was going through.  Always pleasant even when he would be calling during his chemotherapy treatments.  Amazing to me.  
We had become ever more close over the last ten years and especially over the last three years.
I was in awe of the way he loved and cared for his family.  He was the most devoted father and husband that I have ever known.  His devotion to Merle and Grant was complete and unquestionable.  
Losing Lee so early breaks my heart, but I find solace that he lives on through Grant, who has inherited the wonderful character of his Father.

You fought a great fight Lee.  Time for you to rest in peace now.

Being fortunate enough to grow up at Northcoast gave me a bigger family than I could have imagined and Lee was the head of that family.  My mom has worked with Lee for 35 years, he was there from girl scouts to graduation and college to cross country treks.  He was family-focused, and you can tell by the business(es) he built.   

He also was always approachable and easy to talk to, and he had a great memory.  He made me feel special when we talked and he was genuinely caring and interested.  He will be missed by many and my thoughts and prayers are with Merle, Grant and the Northcoast team.  


Merle and Grant,  I am saddened to learn of the passing of Lee. You have my deepest sympathy. I met Lee in the 1980’s and as a fellow Interim Healthcare owner we shared many times together. He was a true gentleman and professional. His word was his bond and he was one of the finest men I have known.
