Lillian Goren, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 18, 1932, to Henry and Celia Jacobs. Lillian is survived by her devoted husband, Martin Goren; her son, Mark Goren; her daughter, Sherri Goren Slovin (Scott); She was a cherished grandmother to Courtney (Benjy), Zachary(Katie), and Lena (Jeremy), and a loving great-grandmother to Blake, Beatrice, Cora, and Levi.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Jo Goren, and her brothers, Louis Jacobs and Harvey Jacobs.
She loved all things family, and nothing brought her greater joy than having her entire family gathered around the dinner table. Always modest, she was more interested in sharing the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren than her own. She had a bright, curious mind and an entrepreneurial spirit. Proud of her Jewish identity, Lil carried her values with quiet strength and conviction. She shared 74 years of devoted marriage with her husband, Marty, and they could be seen holding hands to the very end of her life.
