

The Stein-Sapir family is saddened to announce the passing of their beloved mother, Lorelei, who passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Cleveland. She was born July 24, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York and was working for Clairol in New York City when she met her late husband, Cleveland-native Leonard Stein-Sapir.
She is survived by her four children, Adam (Thandi), Aaron (Gillian), Joshua (Jessie) and Sarah (Gabriel) and will be missed by her six grandchildren.
Lorelei was an active member of the Cleveland community, former chair of Israel Bonds and on the Cleveland Museum of Art Womens Council.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 20th at 2:00 pm at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel 1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118. To view the service, please scroll down to the Services Section and click on “JOIN LIVESTREAM.” Interment Gates Mills Cemetery North.
The family will be sitting Shiva immediately following interment at Three Village, 5150 Three Village Drive, Lyndhurst 44124 Building II (The Community Room). Valet provided. from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday Only.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cleveland Museum of Art Womens Council Philanthropic Fund in her memory.
