LOUIS GRAY, 93, died December 13, 2011. Devoted husband for 62 years to the late Irene Gray (nee Kalis) who died in 2008, loving father to Nancy K., Daniel R, and Wendy D. Born in Poland, Louis came through Ellis Island at age 6. He worked his way through Ohio State U. and its Law School on scholarship. A member of the Cleveland Bar for over 60 years, he donated much of his practice to pro bono work through The Legal Aid Society.
Louis served in the Army for 3 1/2 years in Europe and the Pacific, retiring as Captain. Returning to Cleveland, he bought a house in Shaker Heights on the G.I. Bill, where he raised his family and was a beloved neighborhood figure.
Gravesite services will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Friday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. Immediately after the service, the family will be receiving friends at Stone Gardens Assisted Living, Beachwood. Friends who wish may contribute to the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.
