My husband and I worked for then CCBMR/DD many years ago.  He often had meetings with Lynn.  Bob, my husband, is visually impaired and never drove. He recalls that Lynn would sometimes see him waiting for the bus to ride to group homes often along Fairmont or Lee and, without fail, she would circle back around and give him rides.  She also gave him rides to our home in Cleveland Heights without ever being asked.  On those trips, she would talk lovingly about her family. Bob states his fondest memory was having dinner with Lynn and John McGee. We just heard yesterday that she died this past Spring, and we're so very sorry for your loss. 

Lynn was a treasured friend.  
She  was always there for us.  Most of my family has had dinner in her house and she has hosted my out of town family as well.  
Lynn was the one I turned to when I was was sad or worried.   She had such a way of framing a problem to make it manageable.   
She was truly an Eishet Chayil and I will miss her very much.   
My heart goes out to Harold, Bryan, Marty and Riva.  May you find strength in your memories.

I am so shocked and saddened to learn of Lynn’s passing.  She was one of the kindest, most genuine people I know.  I see her smiling in almost every memory I have of her from my young childhood to my son’s Bar Mitzvah. I knew Lynn for almost 50 years.  When we lived in Cleveland and our children were young, Lynn and I were inseperable.  We shared a lot together, learned about life, shared a lot of laughter and even some tears together.  Although, since moving from Cleveland 40 years ago, our paths have taken different directions, Lynn and I have stayed in touch and celebrated many happy milestones together.   
My heart is broken at her loss.  Lynn was one of the most caring, giving, and selfless people I have ever known and she has left us much, much too soon.  She leaves a large hole in our hearts, but wonderful memories of her and with her will fill our minds.
Please know that although we cannot be with all of you in person to support and console you at this painful time, we are with you in spirit, prayer, and love.

I grew up  with 6 siblings in the house that my dad built at 25741 Hurlingham.   We all thought the young couple buying our house in 1978 were really cool.    We were all just kids but Lynn insisted that we call her by her first name instead of Mrs. Wasserman.  Years later, I sometimes drove a Beachwood school bus to Solomon Schechter and remember that the Wasserman kids were very nice and respectful.   Now I am reading all of these very wonderful posts, and I understand  that our world is diminished greatly by Lynn's absence.  Harold and the now grown up kids, you have my very deepest sympathies.

As controller, I relied heavily on Lynn's extensive knowledge in the Developmentally Disabled world for financial reporting and analysis.  I found her to be both passionate and compassionate. Dear Harold - I am so sorry for your loss. I got to be friends with Lynn through our work with BJ's Sisterhood.  Lynn was such a special lady. I was so shocked to hear of Lynn's untimely passing.  I know how bad it feels to lose your spouse without ever having the chance to say goodbye.  I remember working with Lynn at JFSA.  She was so dedicated to helping the seniors in our community.  There was never a question that I asked her that she didn't answer fully.  As a student, she was always so generous with her knowledge & I learned a lot from her.  It's hard to understand why G-d takes so many really good people but hopefully they are in a better place enjoying the serenity & still guiding us.  I think the challenge is to create a new relationship.  Of course it will never be the same but I know Lynn will watch over you & advise you until you are together again. Mrs. Wasserman and I were born in the same month and many years ago, we celebrated our birthdays together along with Bryon and Judy in DC by seeing Jersey Boys at the National Theater. I remember that evening fondly as we enjoyed the musical and had a festive dinner. Mrs. Wasserman was so kind to me that evening and every time we met. I know she was excited and proud to be a grandma, mother, wife and friend.

Lynn was instrumental in getting Jonathan into Simcha, and for that I am eternally grateful.  She was his guardian angel. 

When Lynn’s father passed away, she began saying Kaddish at BJC, where she became close Kaddish buddies with my late husband, Joel z”l, who was saying Kaddish for his father. Through the year, they forged a strong relationship based on loss, life, and love of family.  Jonathan often joined Joel in saying Kaddish for his beloved Papa. Lynn noticed his differences and soon became his advocate, helping him navigate the complex world of social services.  

Lynn, we will miss you!! Thank you for everything you did for our family.

Thank you for sharing your wife, mother and grandmother with JFSA.    Lynn was a fierce advocate for those with differences and trusted friend to all.    We will miss her compassion, wisdom, dedication and friendship.    Her "can-do" and "will-get-done" attitude was an inspiration.    I remember a story she recently told me of  a child  having a melt down  in a public.   The child ran to  Lynn and grabbed her leg.   As the parents approached to apologize,  Lynn  said  with a smile "Your child chose the right person."   Lynn helped to sooth and calm down the child.    The truth is,   Lynn helped soothe and calm down so many of us -- staff, clients, children!    We were all so fortunate to have had her in our lives.

She loved each one of you so much -- she bursted with pride and smiled brightly every time she talked about her children and grand children.
