

Mrs. Magda (Rivka) Taub, a Holocaust survivor and devoted wife of Sam (Yisroel) z"l, passed away on Thursday, June 12th, at the age of 93. She was a loving mother to Chaim Taub z"l, Elana (Barry) Moskowits, and Fred Taub, a cherished grandmother to seven, great-grandmother to twenty three, and great-great-grandmother to one.
Born on April 22, 1932, in a small town near Prague, Magda was the daughter of Olga and Boruch Spitzer and the sister of Erica, Sonya, Tzvi and Rozie.
The funeral (Levaya) will take place on Friday, June 13th,11:00 AM at Zion Memorial Park, located at 5461 Northfield Road, Bedford Heights, Ohio 44146.
As a courageous child survivor of the Holocaust, Magda immigrated to Eretz Yisroel as a young teenager through Aliyat Noar, where she played a pioneering role in cultivating the land. She later served as a nurse in the Israeli Air Force. After marrying and having two children, she moved to Cleveland where they had relatives who had settled before the war. She was known for her exceptional cooking, she generously shared her culinary talents generously with family, friends, neighbors, and anyone she came in contact with. She had a warm and welcoming home filled with love. Above all, her husband, children, and grandchildren were the center of her life. Magda was a kind-hearted person and deeply loved by all.
The family will observe Shiva at the Taub residence, located at 3528 Severn Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118.
