As a child I was lucky enough to spend and a enormous amount of time with the goda kids   Even having siblings of my own to their house made me feel like I was part of their family whenever grandma goda came around I always thought she was the "cool grandma"  she was always just perfectly dressed and smelled wonderful always had the biggest smile on her face it didn't matter to her that I wasn't her grandchild she still treated me like I was part of the family 
on one such weekend I was lucky enough to go to breakfast and my mother of course reminded me to say my please and thank you's and be kind  
 It was close to Easter and here came grandma goda with presents for all the goda grandchildren I sat there with smiles on my face as my best friend Jenny open up all her presents and a moment later her grandmother open her wallet pulled out a 20 which in those days was like $1 million to a kid .  I shall never forget the kindness you showed that day she never needed to do it she could've just gone about the day and not said anything or done anything and I would have just been happy to be with them  
just that moment of making me feel like I was special to her  is something I will never forget that's just one memory I shall never forget

You have my prayers and thoughts for comfort this difficult time. Cherish the memories.

I am one of a hundred young women who worked for Margaret over the years.  My stint was at "The Americana," patronized by predominantly John Carroll boys.  Keeping up with Margaret dress-wise was a job.  I wore spike heels for many long hours because she did.  She told me it wasn't necessary but I wasn't going to let someone 25 years older than me get the best of me.  Oh, 25 years older than me is a complete guess -- no one knew how old Margaret was because she wanted it that way.  I notice her age isn't given in the Obituary either. (smile)

Her employees and friends were aware of her not-so-perfect childhood and struggle to get to America, then struggling to balance running a business with her role as mother.  I'm sure she was great at both.

I would like to thank  everyone  for all the support and help we received during the past few months.  Mom  was a fighter and never gave up.  She continued to fight  for  her family.  She  is  with Heini now  and  we will miss her dearly.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
