With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margarita Orlova, who departed this life at the age of 88. Born in Moscow, Russia, Margarita graduated from Moscow University and had a successful career studying the history of 20th century Ireland, becoming a leading specialist on the roots of unrest in Northern Ireland. She lived a long life full of poetry, music, and love for her family. She moved to the United States ten years ago, after the passing of her husband, Felix Burdjalov.
She is survived by her son Vladimir Burdjalov, daughter-in-law Julia Frantsuzov, three grandchildren Dimitry, Michael, and Maria Burdjalov, granddaughter-in-law Carishma Menon, and two great grandchildren, Armin and Raian.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, July 20, at 3:00pm at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, 44118.
