Marie Weingarten

Marie was a special woman who always put others first. She had the ability to light up the room with her smile. Marie relished the opportunity to serve as a second mother to many of her daughters’ friends. Marie loved traveling, fine wine and food and never missed a good shopping experience. Her greatest joy has been watching her granddaughter progress through life to become such a beautiful young woman.

Marie is survived by her children, Irene “Rini” (Bob) Garber, Richard Baar, and Alan Weingarten. Marie was a loving grandmother to Hayley Garber, Bryan (J.J.) Garber and Michael Garber (deceased). She was a cherished sister of Peter (Patti) Neuwirth of Los Angeles. Her former husband, Larry Weingarten, preceded her in death. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Funeral services will be held at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Hts, Ohio 44118 on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 11:30 am.

Family will receive friends at the residence of Rini and Bob Garber, 7521 Faraway Trail, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023 on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 2 - 5 PM and 7 - 9 PM.

Marie was a devoted advocate for bettering the lives of the disabled and challenged. In lieu of flowers, a donation to United Disability Service is greatly appreciated. They are located at 701 South Main Street,
