Sorry to hear of "Doc's" passing. My sincere condolences to Shelley, Fay, Gay and Laurie.

Doc was a true blessing to the dance world and everything else he was involved it. A gentle, kind, funny man.
To the family, thanks for sharing Doc with us, he made all of us a part of his family too.

My favorite terpsichorean!  For the past 35 years, I was one of Marty's dance parners who shared his passion for dancing.  He inspired all of us to appreciate the exercise of dance, enjoy the music, and make every effort to become a better dancer.  Touching our lives in different ways, he had a distinctive demeanor that can never be replicated.  From all of us, thank you for the dances!
In addition, Marty was a very special friend who was bighearted and unselfish.  I recall him asking me for "one little favor".  He was not shy about requesting that I bake another pecan pie and, of course, I was flattered.  But, even that was an unselfish request.  His gratification came from sharing the pie with his wife, Estelle.
His love for dancing and his enthusiasm for life kept him younger than his calendar years.  My heart has enclosed a memory forever!

I'm so crushed to hear that this wonderful man has left us...but feel so blessed to have had  him as a great friend & fabulous ballroom student for so many years....all I can say is 'Thank you, Marty'...& my deepest sympathies to your wonderful family...you were a great example to all of us on how important it is to live life to the fullest...RIP

Doc was a good man and a good friend. Watching him dance was an inspiration, especially with a Gay, Fay & Laurie. My condolence to his family... What a guy!

I'm so sorry for your loss! Your dad was great....I will always remember dancing with him ( I just put on his song, "Love is the Ultimate" thanks Steve!) Wow...those memories....he was so fun, so kind and so considerate...my special memory is him going out of his way to pick me up and take me out to dinner and dancing when I was a student in college at OSU! 
On a more current note, I stopped to visit him recently and yes, there he was, having me dance with him! Hopefully, now you and Estelle are dancing up a storm on the streets of gold!

Marty was a gentlemen and a friend.  I will always have fond memories of our trips to put-in-bay.
He will be greatly missed.

I REMEMBER WHEN MARTY OPENED HIS EUCLID OFFICE AND HOW HAPPY HE WAS.  I HAD MANY FUNNY CONVERSATIONS WITH HIM OVER THE YEARS, AND I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIS SENSE OF HUMOR.

Today was the day dancing died! I had the privilege and pleasure of calling Ã¢â‚¬Å“DocÃ¢â‚¬Â a true friend for over 35 years! Doc was a fixture and local celebrity on dance floors in clubs all across northeastern Ohio in the 70's 80's, 90s and beyond! He loved to dance when dancing first became cool, through the time when it wasn't and right up to when 'Dancing With the Stars' made it cool again! Watching Doc dance was like watching a painter create a work of art. Doc's canvas was the dance floor and  music was his color palette. He used all his partners like different brushesÃ¢â‚¬â€each with a unique contribution to the final masterpiece. Doc had a special glow when he danced with his daughtersÃ¢â‚¬â€Gae, Fay and LaurieÃ¢â‚¬â€and wife Estelle. I loved spinning the records for him and observing the mesmerizing effect he had on everyone watching. Doc was a friend to many and would give you the shirt off his back. He would always do for othersÃ¢â‚¬â€pick up the check, give your neck or spine a free adjustment, invite you to enjoy a 'schvitz' and steak at Elsner's, take you fishing on his boat...The only thing he would let me do for him in return was to compile CDs with his favorite musicÃ¢â‚¬â€mixed non-stop just like in the club! Doc was a loving father and husbandÃ¢â‚¬â€his world was Estelle and he stood by her through the good times and the badÃ¢â‚¬â€NEVER complainingÃ¢â‚¬â€ALWAYS hoping! Now he's reunited with her and I know they're dancing under the big mirror ball in heavenÃ¢â‚¬â€wowing the crowds up there, too! I'll miss stopping by to see him and  bringing him some new CDs I made along with his favorite drinkÃ¢â‚¬â€a cup of black coffee from McDonald'sÃ¢â‚¬â€that had to be hot! Just like his favorite song, 'Love is the Ultimate' by Ultimate, Doc truly was 'the ultimate' friend, dancer and human being! THANKS for making that part of my life so memorable!

I'm going to miss playing music on the turntables that Doc loved or making special CDs for him. Like his favorite song "Love is the Ultimate" by Ultimate--Doc really was 'the ultimate' friend and human being!

Marty I am so glad I reconnected with you this past year.  I know you are Dancing with Estelle right now.  You will always be a bright light in my memory.  I will never forget you my good friend!
