Marvin Browdy, age 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Born on January 1, 1925, to Samuel and Sophie Browdy, Marvin lived a long and fulfilling life grounded in family, creativity, and simple joys.
Marvin had a deep appreciation for music and was especially fond of playing his trombone. He enjoyed photography, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends—moments that brought him great happiness throughout his life.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Susan Browdy; Lee Cecil; son Scott Summers; grandchildren Melanie “Joe” Joltin and Rob “Malaky” Cecil; and great-grandchildren Aliyah, Alexander, Wyatt Joltin, and Eloise, William Cecil.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Doris Browdy; his son Steven Browdy; and his sisters Elaine Samuels and Florence Lebowitz.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Mount Olive Cemetery in Solon, Ohio.

Services have been under the supervision of Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
