Born on June 8, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Irwin and Sylvia Dworken, Marvin lived a full and passionate life. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, he was an avid Buckeye and a loyal Cleveland sports fan through decades of highs and lows, and found joy in gardening, traveling, and, above all, spending time with his family.
Marvin loved the practice of law, dedicating more than 50 years to a career he cherished. His sharp mind, quick wit, and love of storytelling made him beloved to everyone who knew him.
What brought him the greatest joy, however, was his family. Marvin is survived by his children Debra (Geoffrey) Turoff, Aaron (Marci) Dworken, and Beth (David) Krasnow; his grandchildren Lauren Turoff, Arica (Nathan) Cohen, Phillip Dworken, Stephanie (Dean) Seitz, Nicole (Ryan Smith) Krasnow, Alex (Marissa Levine) Krasnow, Avery Krasnow, and Matthew Krasnow; and his great-grandchildren Logan and Lucas Seitz and Lyla Cohen. His grandchildren especially loved visiting “Papa” and Grandma Bobbi at their home in Florida, where memories were made that will be cherished forever.
He was the dear brother and brother-in-law of David & Muriel Dworken (both deceased). Marvin’s storytelling, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be dearly missed.
The family is so appreciative of his wonderful caretakers.
Graveside services will be held at Bet Olam Cemetery (Park Synagogue section) on Friday, September 5th at 3:00. Visitation will held at the home of Beth and David Krasnow, 34050 Hackney Road, Hunting Valley, 44022 Friday from 5:00-8:00pm. Donations suggested to The Gathering Place.
Arrangements were made under the supervision of Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
