She enjoyed her long career as a registered nurse and was supportive and helpful to everyone she knew. Maureen enjoyed many facets of life including pets, music, and colorful magazines and was rarely without her crochet hooks. She was a very good friend and loved Cleveland Heights, particularly the varied architecture.
Maureen and Raymond were married for 46 wonderful years, and she will be dearly missed. She left behind her children, Laszlo Gyorki, Tara (Neal) Obrien, Attila Gyorki, Angela DeForest, Bryce DeForest, Andrew DeForest, and Carl DeForest and by 10 grandchildren and numerous other great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and her sister, Inga (Frank) Golay. She was predeceased by her parents Alton and Vera Anderson, her sisters Greta Simcoe and Nora Ettinger, her daughter Laura Gyorki and ex-husband Laszlo Antal Gyorki.
Memorial Services will be on Tuesday, September 22nd at 1:00pm at the Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Road, in Cleveland Heights 44118.
Inurnment will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
A Gathering will be held at Camp George Forbes at 25440 Harvard Road, Highland Hills, Ohio 44122 at 3:30pm until 6:00pm.
