From the short time I knew Maxine, I became a better person.  She was the perfect example of what a Mother should be. I will always continue to think about her and strive to emulate her generosity, supportiveness, compassion, and unconditional love and acceptance that she had shown to me and my children.  

No matter how bad things got at times, she was still always on our side, unconditionally.  She was the type of person who generally cared more about others than about herself. 

She put her love for her family over her own best interest with regularity, because she was just that generous and empathetic.

 -Mom, I love you! I am sorry for any heartaches you had over the years.  I regret not having spent more time with you as an adult... just hanging out.  You were my first love, my best friend, and will remain forever in my heart.
Also, whether you admit it to yourself or not, you ROCK!


Dear Chuck, Rose and I are so sorry for your loss of your beautiful Max. We are thinking of you and your family during this period of sadness. May Max's memory be a blessing. We are sorry that we cannot be with you at this time, but we will be holding the fort for you down here in Naples and keeping you both in our memories of our times together here.  My earliest memories of my dear sister are typical of most siblings- I annoyed her and she annoyed me.  Of course, I earned lots of that emotion especially when I would ransack her closet for something cool to wear after she left for school! 
 In later years our lives took us in different directions, but little by little as we became adults with families of our own we bonded as grownup sisters and what a wonderful blessing that was. 
 I’ll miss my sister’s incredibly generous and accepting heart, with never a harsh word or criticism. I’ll miss our 2 hour “catch up” phone conversations. I’ll just plain miss my sister. 
 Rest peacefully, Max.

Maxine and I would eat lunch in Chagrin Falls and then we would walk through all the stores looking at and discussing the clothes. But we never bought anything. We had many good times doing that and I will hold those memories dear.  Maxine was the most incredible person in every way and I feel so lucky to have known her.  I will miss her and hold her in my heart forever.

Maxine’s  smile lit up the room whenever she was around her beloved grandchildren Mabel and Julian. Love simply dripped from her voice whenever she spoke to them or about them . In the photo here, she beams as she feeds Julian shortly after he was born last year.

Maxine and her sister and family were on our boat in miromar lakes, and Maxine and her sister wanted to go tubing, she loved it sooo much that she went a second time.  She was soo happy that she didnt fall off and laugh the entire time.  Maxine, you will be missed by so many, we love you.  Susie and Scott Gill
