We send our condolences to you. Merl was a very nice guy who cared deeply for others. I remember many legal adventures when we worked together to obtain the best possible outcomes for our clients. I know how much he will be missed.

Merl was such a kind attorney to work with.  He was always considerate to everyone around him and talked so fondly of Lori and his travels they shared together. His life was definitely taken too soon and will be missed.  Rest In Peace, Merl.

It was a great privilege to meet and work with Merl.  He taught me a new perspective to our cases and always had insight when I was a young lawyer struggling to find the best ways to handle a tough case.  I rely on this knowledge to this day.  I will certainly miss our banter and lengthy discussions of Cleveland's sports teams and how it always seemed that I was rooting for their rival.  He will be missed.

Merl was a genuinely good guy! As a civil rights lawyer he made the world a better place. Worked with Merl for many  years . He was always a gentle person!Happy Trails Merl! 

I had the privilege of working as the Legal Assistant of Merl Wayman at Mowery Youell & Galeano.  I will remember him as a dedicated Labor and Employment attorney who cared a lot about his clients.  My deepest sympathy and condolence to Lori and his family in this difficult time. 

Merl and I worked together for years.  Merl loved the law.  He was a passionate plaintiff's employment lawyer and a real advocate for his clients.  On a personal note, Merl was a truly kind man.  He was always positive and thoughtful.  He was genuinely one of a kind and, he will be missed. 

For many years, my wife Judy and I hosted a Halloween party. Merl was always there early to get things going, which we appreciated. He put a lot of thought and creativity into his  costumes and helped make the parties memorable. He sure seemed to enjoy them and we enjoyed having him.  Merl was a thoughtful (in both senses of the word) man. A man of character and dignity. A true gentleman.      

My best memory of Merl was the drum “battle” that he had with another classmate in band class in the 7th grade. I ran into Merl every once in awhile in Columbus. He had also invited us to his first house party when he moved to Columbus to work for the AG’s office.  He was so proud of that house. I am so sorry to hear of his death. You are in our thoughts.  😥
