A native of New York City, Meta’s passion for music was evident from her early years at The Music and Arts High School, where she honed her talent as a violinist. Her love for music continued throughout her life, including performances with The Women’s Philharmonic at Severance Hall.
During a trip to Florida, Meta met Jerry, the love of her life and a gifted industrial designer. They married in 1952 and made Cleveland their home, where they joyfully raised their three children: Linda, Dana, and Jonny.
Meta’s greatest devotion was to her family. She cherished her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her love and warmth.
She will be remembered for her strength, zest for life, and generous spirit. Her legacy of love and resilience will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at Bet Olam Cemetery, 25796 Chagrin Blvd., Beachwood, at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 15th. A private, family-only shiva will follow later that day.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Meta’s memory may be made to an arts and culture organization of your choice.
Arrangements were under the supervision of Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
