

Michael was born and raised in Cleveland Heights and gave much of his time and energy to the community. He will be remembered for both the relationships and architectural structures he built throughout his life. He created fond memories for many through his magic, holiday cards, and love of domestic and wild animals.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Pauline, after knowing each other for nearly a lifetime. He is deeply missed by his daughters, Joanna Benjamin and Margot (Peter) Neuman; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jackson Neuman; siblings, Robert (Phyllis) Benjamin, Gary (Donna) Benjamin, Ilena Benjamin, Sonia (Rick) Bihary, many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who were like family.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 26th at 1:30 pm at the Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights. Inurnment for Michael and Pauline together will take place at a later date at the Community Mausoleum at Lakeview Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the family home, 1111 Castleton Road, Cleveland Heights from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday and Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve (www.reserve-care.org) or the ALS Association (www.als.org) in honor of Michael’s beloved Pauline.
