Michael D. Cole

Michael was a devoted accountant who treated his clients like family. Outside of his professional life, he was a lifelong collector of Lionel trains, a passion he cherished since childhood. He enjoyed working on home projects, including wallpapering and painting, and had a special love for working on cars especially his prized 1979 white Corvette, which he took great pride in caring for.

A dedicated Cleveland Browns fan for over 20 years, Michael remained loyal through every season. He was also a familiar and beloved face at Yours Truly on Chagrin Road, where he enjoyed lunch nearly every day and was warmly welcomed by staff who knew him by name.

Michael is survived by his loving children, Jodi Katz and Heidi Cole (Roger Howell), and his cherished grandchildren, Adam and Zoe Katz.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Cole; his parents, Jack and Bess Cole; and his brother, Benton Cole.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bedford Heights, Ohio.

Professional services are under the direction of Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Michael’s memory.

Shiva arrangements will be announced by the family.
