Muriel, with her family, left their much-loved New Haven for job security in 1934, making Cleveland their new home. Muriel attended Glenville High School (class of 1939) and then worked for Doan Electric until she married Everett in November of 1948. Soon after, they gave birth to two new ventures: Ellen, their first child, and Erie Electric, their new business. In 1951 they moved into their newly built home.
Both their business and their family grew over the next decade making their family complete with Herb, Bob & Beth. While raising their family, Muriel along with Everett, created decades of memories with family & friends from outings to Monroe Falls, holidays shared in their home and, of course, the cottage at Lake Mohawk. Muriel was an active member of Temple Emanu El where she served on many committees including a term as Sisterhood President. Muriel continued to volunteer into her 90’s.
Muriel’s life is celebrated by her four children: Ellen (Errol) Brick, Herb (Janet) Rosen, Bob (Meta) Rosen, and Beth (Tim) O’Leary. Also remembered by her nine grandchildren: Jennifer (Derek) Edwards, Rachel (Charles Pheanis) Rosen, Hannah (Josh) Gordon, Nathan (Samantha) Brick, Sara (Brad) Tarr, Max O’Leary, Molly O’Leary, Emma O’Leary, and Evan O’Leary. Adored by her six great-grandchildren: Philip & Miriam Rosen, Savannah & Michelle Edwards, Ada Gordon, Everett Tarr. She has been reunited with her loving husband Everett, her sisters Charlotte & Eleanor, and countless more family members and dear friends.
