An educator and lifelong learner at heart, Nancy touched countless lives through her years as an elementary school teacher. She was deeply engaged with politics and, just as passionately, with Cleveland sports. Despite, or because of, being a lifelong Clevelander, Nancy’s favorite mode of relaxation was a book on a sunny beach.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Alan; her children Emily Spivack (Jeremy) and Andrew (Kelly); her four adoring grandchildren; and her siblings, Patty (David, deceased) Inglis and Richard (Jane) Marcus; and the dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were either born into or became part of her family. Nancy was the daughter of Betty Marcus Sunshine and E. Robert Marcus, of blessed memory.
