Nancy Jane Tenenbaum

Nancy was born in St. Louis, MO on October 3, 1937 to Max and Rose (Honey) Reiner. She was raised from age 2 in Cleveland and graduated from Cleveland Heights High in 1955. She then attended The Ohio State University and graduated from the school of education Class of 1959.

Nancy is survived by her husband Lee and her son Robbie. Her son Marc predeceased her.

She was a proud member of Sigma Delta Tau and maintained relationships with many of the women until this year.

Nancy taught 4th grade in the Cleveland Heights school system for three years followed by time at home raising her boys. When the youngest entered junior high she transitioned to Lee’s family business and for 25 years was a successful merchant specializing in the buying of women’s sportwear, lingerie and jewelry. That career was followed by over 10 years as Administrator of The Fairmount Temple Brotherhood (later renamed The Men of Fairmount Temple).

Nancy and Lee were long time subscribers to The Cleveland Orchestra and members of the Cleveland Art Museum. She was a compulsive reader of the New York Times and presidential history books.

Lee and Nancy took great pleasure in acquiring some modestly interesting paintings, seeing Broadway theater on their many buying trips to New York and spending some time in Naples, Florida many winters.

Services will Monday June 9th at 1:00 Pm at Congregation Mishkan Or 26000 Shaker Blvd, Beachwood, OH 44122 Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park 26200 Aurora Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146.

Family will be receiving friends after the interment at Mishkan Or Hartzmark Room 3:30-6:00, 26000 Shaker Blvd, Beachwood, OH 44122.
