Nason S Lightman

Nason S. Lightman, 93, of Mayfiled Heights, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026. He was born on May 19, 1932, to Percy and Zipporah Lightman.

Nason graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Boston University and another Bachelor’s degree from Xavier University and a Masters’s from The Ohio State University. A proud Army veteran, Nason dedicated much of his life to his work as an industrial engineer, leaving behind a legacy of professional achievement and dedication.

In addition to his professional success, Nason was passionate about the simple joys of life—birdwatching, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was known for his sharp intellect, kind spirit, and generous heart.

Nason is survived by his son, David G. Lightman; daughter, Lisa Lightman; brother, Russell Lightman (Nancy); grandchildren, Rachel and Danielle VanHorn; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Nancy Barbara Daniels Lightman, his son, James Aaron Lightman; and his sister, Pearl Saleh.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bedford Heights, OH.

Shiva will be at Lightman Family Home Tuesday, March 17, 2026 2pm-7pm and Wednesday, March 18, 2026 4:30pm-7:30pm.
