Oscar was loved by all for his vivacious personality, honest business practices, and enthusiasm for hugs. His love extended to his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and his customers.
Oscar's grandchildren fondly called him "Papa." Brea's children are, son, Kyle, a 2nd Lieutenant in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army and daughter, Hailey Weisman, a senior at Ohio State Agricultural and Technical Institute getting a specialty associates degree in Equine Reproduction. Corey's children are, son, James (15 years old) and daughter Ruby age 9.
Proudly adopting the moniker from Sesame Street, ‘Oscar the Grouch’ he took great pride in his relationships with the Northeast Ohio commercial construction and multi-family industries.
He spent over 40 years dedicated to providing high quality service in the wallpaper, paint, window treatment, closet shelving, and bath accessories industries. Many of his customers were considered his closest friends through his later years. He kept close relationships with his high school friends, members of multiple bicycling clubs, especially Western Reserve Wheelers, and the Heights Rotary where he frequently volunteered. Oscar leaves a legacy as a man who built remarkable relationships. He was a veteran of the United States Reserve Marine Corps where he was a chef and earned the reputation for over-ordering for every meal. He also received an accommodation for sharp shooting.
