
PEARL FISHMAN (nee Schwartz), born in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Ohio University where she met the love of her life Howard. They were married nearly 62 years. She was a medical technologist in Brooklyn, NY, Milwaukee, WI and Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland. As President of the Cleveland Heights/University Heights PTA, she ran School levy and Bond issues for new school construction. Pearl and her husband chaperoned the Cleveland Heights high school choir tours for many years. In the 1970's she received a Behavioral Science degree from Ursuline College and helped provide placement for Russian immigrants for J.F.S. Instrumental in the working of the family business SS Kemp & Company, she started the Human Resources Department and Customer Service Department and Marketing. A well-known matriarch throughout the food service industry. An expert knitter and avid reader who loved the orchestra and Chautauqua. Pearl Fishman is survived by her beloved husband, Howard; devoted children, Mark (Terri) Fishman, Cathy (Scott) Wallenstein and Steven (Jennifer) Fishman; cherished grandchildren, Adam (Jill) Wallenstein, Michael Wallenstein, Gillian Fishman, Jocelyn, Charlie and Lillie Fishman. Adored great-grandmother of Casey. Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 12 noon at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HEIGHTS. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Fishman residence, 3883-1 Lander Rd., (Landerwood Glen), Orange Village, FOLLOWING SERVICES TO 5 P.M. THEN 7-9 P.M., WEDNESDAY 1-4 P.M.
