As a kid, my uncle Rich was always a gentle and interesting soul. He made the best gifts for us as he was a master leather worker and we always got home made belts, he was a true craftsman and he always took time to talk to us kids at the time.

Rich, I will dearly miss him. He was the most fantastic neighbor for almost 10 years. He was a great friend, and I'm sorry I learnt off his passing late. He was always ready to give a joke, offer help, and just share time and space with. My memories of Cleveland will forever be tied to Rich and his kindness.

Rich was an amazing individual that I met playing darts on a team we called the Myopic Swine. I cannot begin to express the wonderful times we shared. I photographed our team at my studio on West 6th Street in the late 80's, early 90's and this image was one of my favorites of Rich being a "Badass"
In recent years Rich and I reconnected.
I am honored to have had him in my life.
Miss you brother.

Rich will forever live in my memories. He was a great talented soul. The world is a little dimmer because of his passing. Rest easy my old friend

My condolences to the Turbow family, I worked with Richard, he was a good person and better friend, he will be greatly missed.

I loved Rich’s love of all things old, unique and discarded - everything had a story! Through their friendship with Nate he was a good friend to my sons Matt and Tim,  and shared a  love of reptiles with Tim. Thank you,  Rich, for the light you shed on so many. May his memory be a blessing.

One of my cousins with whom I enjoyed  a shared love of animals . Very happy memories of Richard and his mynah bird and the Turbow cairn terriers and other critters !

I met Rich over 40 years ago. He worked for me for a time in the Cleveland Heights Traffic Dept.  he possessed a wry sense of humor, a passion for leather craft, affection for iguanas and a genuine love and admiration for his children. A good soul.
 I like to believe he is now in a state of care free comfort.

So sorry for your loss. Richard was a good guy with a great sense of humor. May his memory be a blessing.
