Dick Wertheim was furniture business associate of Myron Baker.

I remember the Wertheims who were in the furniture business like Myron Baker and his partner Robeft Dragin and also Louis Ickovic whose memorial services at Berkowitz-Kumin leave lasting impressions with me, and Lou Ripner of Watkins and Bert Dragin of Furniture Mart and Larry Weiss, Bassett.

Richard was a great guy. When the Plain Dealer had a daily crossword we would 'help' each other when we were stuck. I cajoled with him about the Browns. I always told him that I wanted his schedule at work. I continually told him I'd put in for it but I doubt that anyone knew what his schedule was. He was always interested in finding out about my next vacation plans. I'm glad he enjoyed my wife's nut horn cookies. Nice guy to talk with, nice guy to know, nice guy to work with and he will be missed as a friend.

Richard was so very kind. I will miss bring him his coffee at work. The family was beautiful.

I had the pleasure of working with Richard for many years in the Treasury Dept.  He was one of my all time favorites. He always had a smile and had the best sense of humor. Always remembered things about each person and always checked in on your life.  What a great person and amazing co-worker. May the void he leaves in your heart remind you of the love he brought in to your lives.

He was a joy to work with, I'm going to miss talking with him. He will truly be missed. My condolences to the family.

I have worked with richard for the past 17yrs. I will always remember our talks and his encouraging words. Richard knew my passion was cooking and he would always ask me when i was going to open my restaurant/food truck. He had a way of always getting me back on track :). My condolences to the family. Just found out a few hours ago that one of my favorite co-workers passed--Richard Wertheim!  He was truly a blessing to me.  He always had a smile and was interested in what was going on with me and my daughter.  He would often save newspaper articles for me with her high school basketball stats.  I didn't get the chance to see him before I left!  I will always have fond memories of him as we often rode the train and bus together.I would see people looking at us chatting and probably wondering why we were so engrossed in conversation.  He was 80  years and worked part-time.  Just thinking about him now makes me smile.  Praying for his wife and the rest of his family.
