Rita was a treasure. I feel so blessed to have spent time with her this past year. I admired her positive attitude, vitality and "spunk" during some difficult times. Rita and I became fast friends and shared so much during our brief friendship. I regret we won't have that glass of wine relaxing and chatting in her backyard - but she'll be forever in my heart. My heartfelt condolences go out to Rita's tremendous, supportive family.

I feel so privileged that I was able to meet Rita and share some laughs with her during her visits to Rochester these last few years.  It was insta-like from the moment I met her as I'm sure it was with anyone whose life she touched.  My thoughts have been with all of you these past several weeks.  I am so sorry for your loss.

To Rita's Family,
It is with gratitude that I express the joy I experienced from 
knowing your mother. I was fortunate to live  next to her
on Cobblestone Lane in 2012/2013. She was one of the wisest and  most extraordinary ladies I had ever met. She loved the arts, theatre, and dressing to the nines. My favorite expression she used was,
"So grown up". The first time we went to dinner together she made me laugh so hard that we both were crying. She was hilarious. Fast friends we saw each other almost everyday. I loved her so much!
I pray she didn't suffer and my condolences to the entire family.

We were so sorry to hear.  Even though we hadn't seen Rita for many years, we had so many fond memories.  She was very special.

Rita's life was a rich tapestry of so many things she had done, with memories of those she loved and those who experienced her tremendous compassion outlined in golden thread.

Rita was the original 'mother earth' to of her dear friends.  She was the upmost in entertaining and served me many a meal. Rita was always cheerful and looked at the bright side of life. I will miss my dear friend!!!

I worked with Rita at Green Road Developmental Center. She was my assistant for a few years. We had a great time together. Rita was diligent and very competent. She taught me many techniques related to the positioning of non-ambulatory students. She was very artistic, interested in the arts and in traveling, She also had a big heart, made many friends and always tried to get along with everyone. Her family was the center of her life and she would support her children and grandchildren as much as she could. With Rita life was never dull. She knew how to add spice and adventure to her life. I feel so fortunate that Rita has been part of my life. She is a cherished friend.
