

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 yrs Marleen, and leaves behind his son, Scott (Darlene) Siegel, Daughter Susan Siegel (Lenny Beck) grandchildren Michael Siegel, Shana (Josh) Kesner, great grandchild Lio Kesner, nieces Wendy (Jim) Friedman, Cheryl (Andy) Halpern, great-niece Stacey Friedman, great-nephew Michael (Kaley) Friedman and devoted family friend Helen McCall.
Robert, the loving son of the late Sam and Dora Katz, devoted brother to the late Eugene “Mickey” Katz, displayed his caring nature with daily calls to check in on loved ones. He listened, offered advice and always reminded everyone that “this too shall pass”.
In addition to his strong devotion to family, Robert enjoyed playing golf, was an avid reader and a racehorse enthusiast whose horses ran under his Circle K Stables banner for many years.
Robert will be best remembered for his kindness, wisdom and generous spirit and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A Private family service will be held in his memory. A Shiva gathering will be held on Thursday, October 9th, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 270 Jackson Drive, Orange Village, 44022.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Park Synagogue (www.parksyn.org) via the Eugene and Shirley Katz Fund.
