We are so so sorry of Roger’s passing.  He was a kind, sweet, funny, caring , loving man.  We remember  seeing him at Menorah Park visiting friend, family weekly.   Jerry had so much fun with the poker, gin, golfing outings.. with him.   He would help Norm in the gin games, due to Norms vision  getting bad.  But such fond memories!!  Can only smile when we remember him.   Roger was always calling Jerry to find out how he was doing, up to last year.  What a fiend to have!!!
We will miss Roger…..may he now rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Roger.  My mother Jeanne Cohen Kurlander Wechsler loved playing cards with Roger and laughing. (She was one of the "unique" ones.)   My father Dr. Donald Kurlander also remembers Roger fondly and sends his condolences.  

Roger dispensed not just medicine as the Rabbi said, but never remembered him without a smile or a laugh.  He was always so friendly and shared my mother's love of adventure, food, and board games.   Like my mother, he remained a character and young at heart. 

May his memory be a blessing.

Roger…. My Cruising buddy! Boy what memories I have of our many cruises. Him and Mike with their 2 dollar bills, love of seafood & loving to do their thing in the “funnel” (aka the Casino. And let us not forget  the famous deck of cards he kept tucked away in a jacket pocket - that could make an appearance at any given time. Also there was a “noodle incident” when we were on a Sailboat adventure.  (Kat knows… ask her)  
     Roger was a character - he loved to laugh , he loved his daughters, sons and grandchildren and placed Kathy at the top of his world. 
      Rogers memories will forever be etched in my heart and he will be missed beyond words.   Thank- You Roger for being you.  ❤️Susie

One of the things Roger loved was trains. He came to Baltimore to visit with Sharon and the Long (Beth Harris) family tagged along for an adventure and visit with Sharon and Roger.

Roger was one of my closest friends in pharmacy school at Ohio Northern University.  We bonded when we first met and I looked up to him because of his experience and knowledge in everyday life.

Roger was a great cook and introduced me to Chinese Cuisine. We always looked forward to his cooking because that was the best food we could find in Ada, Ohio. 
 
From the moment we crossed paths, I knew there was something special about him. Roger had a depth of knowledge and experience that impressed me and inspired me. He was someone I looked up to, not just because of his intelligence, but because of the way he lived his life—thoughtfully, generously, and with heart.

But perhaps one of the most impactful moments was when Roger introduced me to Kathy, who would later become his wife. From the moment I met her, I knew she was someone special, and it was clear that Roger had found a bond for life.

Through all our years of friendship, Roger was there with wisdom and kindness. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, valued, and heard.  His spirit, his humor, his love for good food, and his ability to bring joy to even the simplest moments will live on in all of us who had the privilege to know him.

My condolences to Kathy and all of Roger’s family members who have lost such a wonderful person.

Roger was very special to our family. Always a kind, caring, fun-loving cousin to my parents and to their children. His smile was infectious. Please accept my condolences. May his family find comfort in their cherished memories.

Roger was a friend for over 50 years. I met Roger when he matriculated to Ohio Northern University in Ada and landed into pharmacy school. 
Roger taught me life lessons as he was my senior by almost 13 years. He also enhanced my palate as he was our master cook in the kitchen in the house that we and our room mates shared. 
My grandmother would cook all week and then ship up food to Ada via Greyhound and in dry Ice. 
Roger improvised using her kosher cooking and his skills with a Chinese Wok, Making brisket fried rice. 
We all learned from Roger life's road ahead, and he was generally correct. 
Rest well my friend. You are missed but never forgotten.
